Anyone here have a Turkey Chili recipe that they'd like to share with me? My company has our annual Thanksgiving Pot-Luck and what says Thanksgiving like Turkey Chili!!

Thanks to anyone who can help. I can and have searched Google for some good recipes but I trust ya'll more than random internet search.

My chili

I have made this recipe with both turkey and chicken and it works well with either.

I am not an angry person, so if you want beans in it, just add a can and I won't fight with you, even though I never use them if it is my chili. I do prefer pinto beans when the crowd asks for beans. If taking this to a covered dish and not a competition event, a can or two of beans will make it go further.

Thanks MD. If I want to put this in a crock pot, would you just recommend going slow for 6 hours?

This is a recipe I kept from The Advocate newspaper and it's really good.

White Turkey Chili

Advocate-Tested Recipe
White Turkey Chili
Serves 8 or more. Recipe is by Beth Colvin.

2 tbls. olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 tsps. minced garlic (
32 oz. fat-free chicken broth
1 bay leaf
1 tbl. parsley

1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. chili powder
Cayenne pepper, to taste
White pepper, to taste
2 (27-oz.) cans Creole cream style navy beans
2 cups chopped, cooked turkey
1 (4-oz.) can chopped green chilies (did not use these)
Salt, to taste
Sliced jalapeños, optional (did not use these_
Shredded cheese, optional
Sour cream, optional
1. In a large pot, heat olive oil on medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until fragrant and soft.
2. Stir in the chicken broth, bay leaf, parsley, cumin, chili powder and peppers. Bring to a simmer, then add the beans, turkey and chilies.
3. Check the seasonings and salt as desired. Simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Serve garnished with jalapeños, cheese and sour cream.

I sometimes substitute turkey in my regular chili recipe and it turns out fine.

Turkey and Black Bean Chili made in a pressure cooker is really good. Surely you have an Instant pot if you post here.

I use this guy's recipe, but jazzed up a bit: LINK

I'm sure you could do it in a slow cooker or dutch oven with adjustments.

Here's a version he did not in a pressure cooker. LINK

I would brown the turkey and go on high until it came up to temperature and then go on low. It probably would do fine on low for 6 hours.
