How long does it take a 22 pound turkey to cook in a microwave?

It varies. For the tasty smoked version, just nuke it until you smell smoke and it is ready to put out with a fire extinguisher and carve. Be sure to remove the bag of Dribblets and throw away that little pop out thingy.

Better get started on it now. Figure 30 Min per pound in thaw setting for even thaw throughout bird.

Subtle "I have a microwave that will fit a 22 pound turkey" brag.

Pack around the bird firmly with ice in the microwave then throw that baby in nuclear hot oil in a suitabley sized pot

And make sure the turkey cavity is filled with ice before you drop it in the oil. That way it stays at a safe temperature until you cook it.

You laugh, but I've done it. Cold front came through, and I was smoking a turkey for our family. Don't remember how cold it was, but after about 7 hours on the smoker, the turkey was about half done. We nuked that bird really good and ate it. Wasn't my proudest moment, but trichinosus didn't appear that year.
