Seems there’s a lot of ramen eaters on here so I thought I’d post. Tsukemen is basically cold or room temp broth-less ramen that you dip in a broth based sauce. Just as I tend not to make a meal out of a bowl of gumbo in summer, a bowl of hot ramen is also unappetizing to me. This is a good substitute since it’s cold. I’m currently in Japan and most ramen shops sell it. This one had pork belly and slices of chicken in it. Will try to make my own soon.

On a side note, nothing beats cold soba noodles in summer. Your post reminded me of this...

I wish I could find Tsukemen in NOLA.

Ramen Tatsuya does them well. Im obsessed with both their shoyu tonkotsu and their old school. One of my favorite restaurants period.
