What do yall think about poyboys from crabby jacks
Crabby Jacks (on Jefferson Hwy near Oschner) has one of the best shrimp po-boys in the area, IMO

Fail.
I had the best shrimp po-boy in the world at Krabby Jacks today. It ain't even close.
i had one yesterday, and I agree it isn't even close, R&O's by miles.... crabby jacks poboy is full of so much greasy batter...flavor is not there.... a million extra tiny frozen shrimp falling everywhere does not make a GOOD shrimp poboy

Let us know when you do...
I still have a lot of work to do off your list, but as I previously mentioned, I tried crabby jacks this weekend...i was dissapointed.... TA, when was the last time you have a shrimp poboy at R&Os ?
I didn't get to go to casamentas, but we did hit up Mandinas, and it was good of course.... got some oyster/artichoke soup and it was wonderful... shrimp poboy was your average New Orleans good shrimp poboy.... My mother had the turtle soup and it was wonderful as always... we also hit up Deanies b/c R&O's didn't open till 12 today... as I expected and remembered from many years ago, it was mediocre....we should have gone down to bozos

Shortstop for Roast Beef. End of story.
I need to try Bozo's oyster po-boy. I had Drago's oyster po-boy a few weeks ago and it was second to Felix's. I don't know if I was hungover that day I tried Felix's, but it was outstanding.
You can get a very good Shrimp po-boy anywhere.
The best deal for a shrimp platter is at Phil's Marina Cafe in Slidell. You can 24 shrimp (nice size) and fries for $10.95. Best deal in Slidell.

A very long time...I know this is not a popular opinion on this board, but New Orleans Food and Spirits >>>> R&O.

N.O Food & Spirits is very good. Their grilled shrimp caesar is hard to beat. I actually got a grilled shrimp po-boy is very good as well, had that Friday night.
The only thing is itis way overpriced.

The crawfish corn bisque is really good...I think their prices are on par with similar places.

I love Kenner Seafood...just not top 5 poboy love.
It is a very good place though. I rarely find myself in Kenner though.
The Galley, Parkway and Radosta's are so close to my house that I really frequent those three.

Radosta's makes a great tarter sauce for their shrimp po boys. At least I think they make it, either way it's good. Good onion rings too. Come to think of it, everything I have had at Radosta's is solid.

For the place next to Central Grocery...I think you're thinking of Frank's...and they have a great muff.
But my favorite muff is...and will always be...DiMartino's!

I wondered if I would ever see this one mentioned. I had a DiMartino's Muff at Jazz Fest a couple years ago and thought it was as good as any I hed ever eaten, including Central Grocery's..............

The Fergie at Mothers definitely needs some luv. R&O's does some nice po-boys too..I'm partial to the Hot Sausage w/ Creole mustard.
Shortstop and Parkway are my 2 favs for Roast Beef.
Also luv the French Fry po-boy at Liuzza's, and smoked duck at Crabby Jacks.
But to be honest, this is dang near impossible to quantify..I'm mean thats like asking everyone who's their favorite Playboy Playmate ever?..

quote:You couldn't be more on the money with that choice. I first found out about this po boy after an email reply from Chris Rose in 2005. Almost everytime I come in town since then, I stop by Domilise's to indulge in this little piece of heaven (I swear I am going to die from a heart attack after eating one of these, and I couldn't think of a better way to go than clogging my arteries with fried goodness).
Domilese's fried shrimp with roast beef gravy and melted cheese
1.) Aforementioned po boy from Domilise's
2.) Ye Olde College Inn's Oyster po boy w/ bacon and havarti cheese
3.) Parkway Bakery's Roast Beef po boy
4.) Magazine Po boy and Sandwich Shop's shrimp poboy
5.) Le Supermarket's shrimp poboy (gotta give some love to the Westbank)

Yeh, Ms. Dot was telling me she has ten times as many orders for it now than before the show.
Before, it was a lot of her husband's and her friends who would order it.

Posted on 3/3/09 at 8:42 am to tavolatim
