They're a little busy right now with some e-drama. When things are calm, just make a post and drop the hint that you are female. They'll take care of the rest. Try to do it when PhDTiger and PngTigr81 are on, they generally run the Q&As (and are confirmed female).

You should have a good time.

What type of E drama? Sounds like fun!

(The QA, not the drama)

just like the other guy I was just surprised to not see a Jubans or LA Lagnaippe. The list is great and I will go try some of these dishes now, just was stating you must have a different perspective than I.

My suggestions were
Blackened gator from chimes
Around the world - Fluer De Lis
Babybacks from TJs
Halleguah Crab from Jubans
Duck Mansur
Crab and Brie soup from Mansurs

all these are special to Baton Rouge IMHO. You might say TJs sucks but tahts a Baton Rouge staple, and always will be, same with the other places

I posted above that LA Lagniappe and Juban weren't considered because restaurants like them will get their own Top list

I find it hard to believe that the top 2 dishes in Baton Rouge are Indian and Vietnamese. Those two restaurants are either hidden gems that no one knows about or the reviewer has a perspective that is very different from the typical Baton Rougean.

TigerinATL, after bantering back and forth before, I have to say I totally agree with you on this statement. I'm not really a huge Indian and Vietnamese fan, so that probably comes into play. I know Zombie likes this type of food, so I wasn't surprised by the list.

Overall, I think it was a good list. Mine would be in a different order, but thats why we have our own opinions.

Don't knock it till you tried it. I know it's not caviar with a quail egg on top (or as you called it, the egg thingy with the black stuff )

Anyways.. there are plenty on there that I need to go try.

Very nice. Someone has really been doing their homework on the Baton Rouge dining scene. Some very nice write-ups in there. LsuZombie, how often would you say you dine out in Baton Rouge, or are most of your meals in New Orleans. I've read several posts on this site, and I think you are originall from New Orleans, yet I still haven't pieced 2 and 2 together. Is your friend going to rotate dishes from various restaurans in and out of his 25 as new places and new dishes become more popular?

thanks for the kind words. i would say my friends and i dine out 3-4 times a week we are young professionals so we work alot, but we get together for dinner as much as possible. i am from new orleans. i went to jesuit for 98-01 and then to lsu where i graduated in 06. i have been in br working ever since.

as far as rotating dishes, i think we may redo it every year. i will certainly post any good dishes i find

well pho quyn is on florida and doesn't look like much from the outside. bay leaf is on sherwood. it should be easy to find it. just looked for the jam packed goldan corral next to it.

You might contact the restaurants and see if they'll give y'all a photo of the featured item.

we wanted to take pictures but we thought it would take way too long. i will let restaurants we go to know that they made the list and too keep up the good work

you can't say you aren't a fan of something when i know you have very little to no experience eating it. i'll let you know next time we get vietnamese or indian. you can't make a judgement on a food when you haven't tried it.

Zombie, I wasn't knocking the food, because as you stated I really haven't tried that much of it. All I was saying was that the items listed wouldn't be on my list because I haven't tried them. I even said it's just your opinion and my opinion.

Notes: I tried the curry at Dingo's and the ribs at Ronnie's and neither were my cup of tea. Not saying they were bad, just wasn't my thing.
