Tigerbait Grill on Millerville - now opened as Fly-By store

I just noticed a roll off dumpster out front and it looks like the building got painted white across the top half with aqua and yellow at the bottom. Similar to French Truck’s colors. I’ve never been. Wanted to go awhile back because it’s where my late father-in-law used to eat at but I never had the chance to go.
Anyone know what’s going on there?

I've eaten there a handful of times. It's ok but nothing special. Not sure if it's being renovated for a new tenant but it seems like it's been closed for awhile now.

I'm pretty sure it is closed.
Any work being done may be by the owner or next tenant.

It looks like their Facebook says they closed June 2022.

It was kind of a strange place. They had your typical sports bar/soul food - burgers, chicken tenders, poboys, hamburger steak and chicken shawarma. I guess because the guy was Middle Eastern IIRC.
It was all serviceable but not great. I never had a bad meal there but I wouldn't have gone out of the way for it either. We've lived in the area for a decade and I might have had it 4-5 times.

I gathered that from the menu. Some guy just trying to capitalize on LSU fans and probably a bigger spot years ago.

Didn’t it used to be in like a snowball stand size place in that same parking lot, or am I thinking of something else?

There was a snowball stand right past there on S Harrells Ferry by the car wash. It might still be there.

Color scheme makes me think Jagbait Grill.

Looking at it from left it right (Amite river to MS River), there’s the car wash with a snowball stand that has crappy ice, a couple of businesses, then Tiger Bait, then a small shopping center that used to be Video Visions and a snowball stand.
I forgot about Uncle Os.

JagBait? That’s at least 3 bans incoming.

New name above it is now, Fly-By. I'll try to get a pic later today. Possibly turning into a convenience store.

Never got the picture but I see that Fly-by is a convenience store that is also down Airline near I-110. One of the shutters was open in the old Tigerbait Grill building and they have the convenience store refrigerator doors built. First sign of them actually doing anything in the last several months.

RIP Uncle O's.

Across the street in the front yard of whatever that little shop was? Pink Lady was the GOAT snowball.

As of Monday, it's officially another Fly-By convenience store. Too cheap to actually paint over the old signs they had and just put a see-through yellow sheet over it.
For reference, there's another location way down the north end of Airline Hwy near the exit going to the airport.

It’s been labeled as fly by for a while. Is it open?
