Trying to plan a nice dinner with friends, not crazy nice, just something kind of intimate and somewhat memorable.
Started looking at some chef's tables as an option. Only problem is that there will be 10 of us and most max out 6-8. Anyone know a table off hand that does 10 people?
Haven't done a chefs table before, probably a lot of people will say it is overpriced, don't really care about that. Anybody have a great experience they want to pass on?

My family and I did the chef's table at Mabry House in Shreveport. IMO, it was one of, if not, the best dining experiences that I have had. I believe it was a 9 course dinner with different wines paired to each course. The chef let me "stand over" him and watch him cook a few of our courses which was really great. We had 6 in our party and which may have been the limit(maybe 8). I would do it again in a heartbeat as long as the old man pays for it again.

Never the Chefs table, but places like Delmonicos will serve a 3 or 4 course meal plus desert to a table if any size, over a certain number I imagine. I say that because I've gone it with 7 and 12, but never tried with two. It was all family style except the fish course. Amazing too.

Do La Boca! It's not a chef's table, but it's a "feed me" type experience. There are apps and sides for the table to share, and each person selects their own cut of steak. It's $45 a person, and you walk out stuffed!

I don't remember exactly but I think it was around $175-225 per person. With the quality of the food and amount of wine that was served, it would be worth doing for special occasions.

Plenty of places in NOLA do it. May need a week+ of advanced warning though.

I looked at some of those and will check out the others. This group tends to get a little loud (see: a couple westbankers) so a secluded table might be best for the restaurant.
