Thoughts on Shirataki Rice (Miracle Rice)?

Is anyone using this product?
I recently tried it for the first time and I'm disappointed. I followed the instructions, but I find the end product is very much like little balls of gel.
I was expecting a different texture.
Anyone have any experience with this product?

I haven't had the rice, but I've had the noodles. They're very gummy and slimy. My opinion is that they're best used in cold Asian dishes (or maybe Asian soups) like they're actually intended for. They're pretty disgusting as a spaghetti substitute or something.
I rarely use rice substitutes, but I actually like riced cauliflower in stuff like stir fry.

I'm okay with the noodles and the rice, but didn't like the thicker fettuccine noodles.
After rinsing thoroughly, I put them (noodles or rice) in a non-stick skillet and heat or dry the product that way. I've only ever had the rice with roast gravy. It doesn't feel gelatinous to me. I've had the noodles in numerous dishes.

Thanks for the feedback.
I haven’t tried the noodles yet and , Darla, I did the boil and then dry in pan method.
I was hopeful about this, but looks like I’ll be sticking with the riced cauliflower.

Riced cauliflower is definitely my preference for the rice substitute, but I will use the shirataki ones. I like the noodles more than the rice. Am I repeating myself? My brain is tired for no good reason.
