Our Super 1 now has these. I watched a few vids and looks like something I would enjoy. Will probably start one on the smoker tonight .Any tips would be appreciated. Do I need to tie it up?

I did one last weekend for the first time and made Birria tacos. I didn't tie and didn't feel like it was absolutely necessary. It turned out fantastic. I smoked it around 250 until it hit 160 internal. Dropped in a pan with my birria juice and let it cook in the oven until tender/205-210 internal.

ETA: I spritzed it with a concoction every 30-45 minutes as well.

Just bought one. Turns out, they are tied in the package.

I will be eating this at Grand Floridian cafe Monday night. I get it every time we go. I love it.

That thing was really good, and I do not think I got it to its potential. A little shy of the recommended final temp and not a lot of time to rest. Not sure what happened to the marrow - none poured out. Took the leftovers out yesterday and simmered in a little beef stock. One of the best beef sandwiches I have ever had.
