And by the way, Chik-Fil-A is a bad analogy ... i mean, they don't advertise as "The Christian Chicken" they just happen to be closed on Sunday, and will tell you their values as a corporation if you ask. (i worked there) ... i don't see a Christian theme in their marketing ... just cows that would rather you ate more chikin.

For all those reasons and that Chik-Fil-A serves absolutely terrible food.

I find is quite comical how talking about god brings out fear and anger in some people.

@Sparkafatty ... you can't be serious
yes I am serious. Drinking is not against the beliefs of many religious groups. Killing is on the list of no no's but the owner isn't killing people. There may be some thread of responsibility since he owns the place BUT it's all going on outside. No one is perfect, even the spiritually devout fall short, make mistakes, aren't perfect. Owning a nightclub is not a sin, nor is selling booze.

I find it humorous how people react to talking about higher powers, god or whatever you may wish to call it. The fear and anger in their responses is quite interesting.

Now you made me go look it up. Why'd you have to do that? Just so everyone can join in the misery. Ignorance is Bliss

Dude, did you miss what i said? Aint no fear of talking about Christianity, ... and i wasn't being judgmental, either. Like i said, i've done business with him AT THAT VERY NIGHT CLUB.

I simply said i found it HUMOROUS. Matter of fact, i even said .."nothing more, nothing less"

Why you making a simple statement into something bigger than what it is? Have you no sense of humor?

you are the one going on and on, making a big deal. I love how you feel the need to restate what you are not afraid of and preface it with "dude did you miss". You really want to reinforce that, make sure thats understood don't you. It's like you have are trying to convince yourself of that.

I'm simply answering and defending the accusations that YOU made. YOU'RE the one that started all the bull shite, dude. And i'm supposed to not comment when you sit thare and say shite about "i don't see what's funny about that" and how "people start getting afraid when you talk about God"

Go sit in Table is Bread and have a drink, dude.

Which IF FALSE really don't need defending, do they.... or is it really about more than that, maybe your overwhelming urge to be "right" even in situations where there really is no singular "right"
quote:

no BS started, just commenting on the discussion. Just because someone has a different point of view or opinion that you doesn't mean they are starting anything. Thats one more thing that indicates it's soooo important that you be "right" even when there is on particular "right"
quote:

nd i'm supposed to not comment when you sit there and say shite about "i don't see what's funny about that" and how "people start getting afraid when you talk about God"
sure, why not? Why can't you let someone else have their opinion/viewpoint without having to feel the need to "defend" yours. Maybe theres more than one "right" point of view. Why can't you be comfortable with stating your opinion, letting others state theirs and just moving on esp when it's a case where the "right" thing is objective and varies from person to person.

It seems you feel inadequate with yourself and have the deep seeded need to be right in YOUR mind so you feel better about yourself. Be right in YOUR mind so you can look good to people here. Whatever happened to live and let live, enjoying different opinions, points of view etc.

It's pretty clearly you are under 30 and have an incredible amount of growing up to do in the sense of acceptance and living/working/discussing with others. You must live your live by pressing your "right" thoughts and opinions of people all day, every day..... You let me know how that works out for you in the long run.

OK,i see ... you're one of THOSE people ... take that stupid "trying to press people's buttons" shite back to the OT board where you usually hang out and do the same shite.

You don't know me dude, and your assessment of me is totally off, even the guess at my age.

But let me take a stab at you ... early 30's, just finally accomplished something in your life ... like say, an online degree that allowed you to move out of your mom's house ... and feeling kind of accomplished, so you hang out on message boards and look for people who you THINK are in your similar situation, and you ATTEMPT to demean them and make it seem like you're some kind of intelligent, analytical, intelectual type.

You probably have an enduring relationship with a stack of magazines and a bottle of lotion, and your time online is shared between Tigerdroppings and porn sites. Probably some gay shite involved, as i see you're constantly calling people "figs" over on the OT.(who still uses that word except for actual homos?)

I'm not the guy you're looking for, dude. Trust me on this. Go find someone else with that bull shite.

If you don't believe me, take your arse to Table is Bread, ask for Norman, and ask him about Uncle Buck.

Unclebuck - and - Sparka:

While I find this banter kinda amusing, both of your above descriptions would fit about 90% of the posters on TD. Next time, could ya'll narrow it down and be a bit more specific

and there you go, continuing down that path of wanting to be right when in fact there is no one right or wrong....

oh and just for the record

mostly people who are over 30 and still use Dude to address people.
