I'm a throw the resurrected Gabrielle in there as well. Saderade, you or Cricket need to get up in that and report back to my marooned arse.

First don't use OpenTable, call the restaurant direct. It works for me.

Bistro Daisy, LaPetite Grocery, Gautreaus and if you like it loud Tommy's.

Not Cochon. It's not in this league. Get a sandwich at Butcher and be done with it or do Herbsaint.

Picnic in the Park. You can spend $ on other stuff, mon.

Are you serious?? Why would anyone travel to New Orleans and not go to a nice restaurant for dinner?

The sad thing is the SO would be fine with picnic at Jackson sq. which is basically what she did on lunch break yesterday.

I will have none of it. Thanks for the suggestions all. Will report back.

A picnic for lunch in Jackson Square is fine idea if you're having a muffaletta and a Barg's Root Beer from Central Grocery. A day like today would be outstanding.

But to miss out on the dining opportunities offered by these suggested restaurants would be a shame.
