The way my Arkansas grandmother taught me:

One can of V8
One jigger of Stoli
A dusting of celery salt
Two dashes of Tabasco
Squeeze of a lemon wedge
Ice

Anything more is uncivilized.

I infuse my vodka with olives, onions, bell pepper, jalapeno hot sauce for 2-3 days. Strain and put back in bottle.

We make them by the gallon on Sundays with neighbors coming over.

3 parts zing zang
2 parts vodka
1 part clamato
small can spicy v8
dash of beef broth
all the other usual like Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, lime etc.

I've never tried a bloody with gin but I love it with tequila or mezcal.

A bloody Maria is so much better than a bloody Mary.

If you like gin, you will enjoy it. I like to throw a few olives in mine and a splash of olive juice.
