your rate card is very very competitive, especially when you consider the traffic this site generates and unique looks an ad on here would get ... i just don't get what it is that some of these idiots on here can't understand about the business side of what you do ..

Well I inquired about prices in an email and got no response. 225 came to us, as well as southeast news. We aren't seeking out advertisements. Maybe your guy should do a better job of making it known that people advertise on this site.

Just my 2 cents....This board has become heavy into restaurant reviews, bitches, and gripes...of which I participate in....we really do have a powerful tool here....and as a result have ruffled a few feathers...The post a while back about Don's in Gonzales really upset the owner(word really does get back to the owners)...he wanted to know what to do about it...a restaurant owner friend of mine said to let it go ....he gets trashed on occasion too....but sure enough there was a first time poster show up on that thread talking about how they have always had great food and service there(they really are not that hard to spot)...but the point I am getting at is with this board being a major restaurant review board....we are swinging a lot of power and we should all use it wisely....I know I have toned down my reviews...everyone can have a bad night....Hell, I might even go back to Roberto's....Good news for Chicken is that this product is marketable....

Chicken, have you ever had your advertising folks approach some of the restaurants that are discussed frequently on here?
It would be an interesting conversation if a salesman showed up at The Pelican Club for instance, and showed them all of the times they are mentioned, and the random reviews that have been done by every day diners at their restaurant.
Or better yet, show the posts about a restaurant to their competitor, and ask them if they'd like to have some of those diners come to their place and do a review!
They might be convinced to advertise!
