I always get seated next to the stockbroker/middling attorney/wanna be politician ex frat boys who are all still mentally 19 when in a group. These are usually easy to spot and avoid before you accept the table from the maitre d'.

We listened to this gorilla of a woman yat it up at Stella! last night. On an on about absolutely nothing. Dinner got much better once she left.

I agree with the "overweight Democrats", but not always. At Nino's a few months ago we were seated next to 2 couples, the 2 guys had played golf that day and gave a load review of each shot, each putt to the whole restaurant.
Recently a table full od "GIRL" shouting Democrats, cackling and hooting, caused my wife and I to leave before even ordering.

Honestly, I can't recall the last time this happened to me such that it was disturbing. There was a loud group of men next to us at Vincent's a month or so ago, but they were rather humorous in a way. Not so loud that we couldn't talk to each other and enjoy our meal. Place is loud anyway. I can block out noise pretty well, though.
