Thanksgiving dinner New York City

Taking my family to New York City for Thanksgiving this year--parade, Lion King, sightseeing, food.
We are staying in midtown area and really not worried about where we have to go--will use uber, can, and subway.
Any good recommendations for thanksgiving day--traditional dinner? Good?
Thanks!

There's a ton of places that do special menus. Not sure how fancy you want to get and what's considered traditional for you. My family and I did The Smith in midtown one year and it was fantastic. You really won't go wrong no matter where you pick. You just want to find a place and get a reservation about 40-50 days out by calling or using open table.

Highly recommend thanksgiving at Keens Steakhouse. Their thanksgiving menu has great options for both the Turkey and non-turkey eaters in your party.
I’ve spent several thanksgivings in NYC and Keens is probably my favorite place to do it. Compared to other places Keens makes it a leisurely experience vs other places that tend to churn you out in short order.

Just do yourself a favor and get out of midtown as much as humanly possible.
