incredible dinner tonight
Tuesdays are Italian night and friends, it’s good. Really fricking good

we had polpette, garlic knots, roasted branzino, tableside cacio e Pepe, broccoli rabe, tiramisu and coffee. 2 cocktails and a glass of wine. $200 with a nice tip

service was impeccable and the food is some of the best versions of those dishes I’ve ever had. Good looking place too

first time so we’ve not had the regular menu but the Italian menu is first class.

Isn’t this restaurant group opening an Italian restaurant in Madisonville?

Yes it is. I went for the first time two years ago expecting it to be a let down, and I was shocked at how exceptional it is. We have been a few times since, and the food is always on point. My issue is with the pricing (it aint cheap) and the service. The pricing is what it is for the current economy and their food items, but the service was shite the last couple of times we went.

Nuvolaris in Mandeville has become my favorite restaurant for this area. It was bought by a chef from Juban's last year, and he has elevated that place to a great level. I can't recommend this place enough. It used to be solid but uninspired Italian that you can always count on a good meal, but now it is creative and incredibly well executed.

Interesting because I haven't been back to that place for dinner in a couple years, not including a catering event in the separate room a month ago. The apps handed out were really good, but the chicken marsala failed miserably (the wine was not cooked out of it). Kind of took that as thing hadn't changed.

May have to give them another try based on your comments.

Definitively do so. The new chef/owner has done great things here. My mom has friends who are angry, because it's not the standard fare they have been accustomed to for all these years. I think that is going to be his challenge: retaining committed customers while bringing back those who have always wanted something more from them
