Yep.

Mid-90's (94-95?) The soon to be Mrs. Awesome-turned-Awesomer, had our rehearsal dinner there.

Prior to that, we had eaten there (Blair House) for Valentine's Day. There was a barbershop quartet in there singing that romantic quartet shite. Nice touch, I tell ya.

This place was a Lafayette classic, but it died with it's older clientelle and all the development on the southside.

Not quite a Tony Angello's kind of place, but very close.

Blair House was one of the other old steak houses with old style aged beef. RIP to both.

Ok, so now there are 2 in all of Lafayette that use a blinker.

The old days are gone sky, and so are the mom and pops. Believe it or not, a really good ribeye can be had at LaFondas. Or maybe its the 20 margaritas that makes it good. Whatever.

My ribeye from Jolie's was really really tasty. It was the first time I ever enjoyed the fat in my mouth.

However, I'm not a steak snob, I'll eat any piece of medium rare steak you put in front of me.

I've said many a time that the food there is not the main reason to go, the atmosphere and drinking are. But if you're gonna eat while there, try the ribeye and/or fried chicken. They are better than the mexican stuff served. (in case you haven't seen, a partial pic of you was on the OT today)

i'm a total snob about mexican too, it's by far my absolute favorite and it's been really disappointing that we can't find a decent mexican place in lafayette.

lafondas is too crowded, loud, and just not worth it.
