You might want to share the recipe with Zach so he can get all Pavlovian while his wife is at work.

Things with cheese I remember loving:

Lasagna
Enchiladas
Cheese Grits
Pizza
Rueben Sammich

But the thing I miss the most was just a small plate of sliced sharp, dry cheddar with a glass of wine before dinner. Ah, those were the days.

i think it probly got started as a kid.. i never wanted another plate for dessert and just put whatever we had on my regular, used, plate... the pound cake with pea juice became my "go to" for a long time...at least until i was about 12...

black eyed pea juice over pound cake..
This must have happened by accident one day when someone spilled the pea juice on the pound cake? There is no way this combo could have occured naturally under any stretch of the imagination.

I know it is your wife that is against cheese but what is the back story? Is it all dairy? or just cheese? and why?

I put ketchup on pizza. That seems to surprise a lot of people. And I make pita bread sandwiches. I take hummus, cheese and hame and toast it. OH SO GOOD.

No, it has nothing to do with dairy or lactose intolerance. She just hates cheese and does not allow it in the house.

My first wife had the same deal with Mayo. And Mayo has less taste than cheese.

The only thing I can relate to is coconut. I hate the smell or taste of it. I avoided pools where sun bathers were slathered with coconut oil.

True story. When we were shopping together at the grocery many years ago she saw that the customer ahead of us had some cheese on the conveyor belt and she shoved our stuff away and then stormed out.

The clerk checked out my stuff and asked what was wrong with my wife.

Me: She hates cheese.
Her: Why?
Me: When she was a very little girl she was brutally beaten by her parents with a large piece of cheese.
Her: Wow, that's horrible.
Me: Yes indeed.

OK I always wondered. I can sort of relate. I do not like mayo or meat with bones in them. I do not eat them and no one can convince me to. But I do allow others in the house to eat them. My husband avoids coconut and all green veggies.

pretty much never. My husband and step son love them so I will every once in a while eat a bite if it is fall of the bone tender and they put it on my plate with no bones.
