Steak sauce is fine on a dog or burger

+1000.

In college, I bought a couple filets to grill for me and my ex just after we met.

As we sat down to eat, she asked for KETCHUP. I yelled her and she cried.

That was strong sign for things to come in the relationship.

So whats worse, ordering a Steak Well Done or using steak Sauce??

It cracks me up how some restaurants get all pissy when someone orders a well done steak or if they ask for steak sauce. If a steak place doesn't even have steak sauce then I know I am in way too much of an "upscale" enviroment for my blood..............

It all really sounds very "snobish" to me........

A well done steak is bad.. but not that bad. i'd still eat one and half.

Over 50% of the orders i take (Texas Road house) are people ordering their steaks MW to WD.

A lot of them say...."Past well" or "shoe leather please"

Do you notice a difference in tip between the people that order it well done and medium rare?

My grandmother will not eat a steak if she ain't got ketchup and Lea & Perrins. You can cook her a prime cut and she's got to have it. Of course she also wants her steak cooked so well it's like eating leather too.

If you ever had Steak and Eggs from Waffle House, you need 57 or A1.

I wish i could say i did. The only difference i notice is that ppl who order well done don't notice the "15% gratuity added" to their check and usually leave an additional 15% tip. Which is nice sometimes.

I like it on a burger

We have a buddy who likes his steak marinated with A1 and then slow cooked on the grill. He thinks it is great but that is his opinion.

The problem restaurants have with well done orders......people who order their steak well done and then complain to the waiter or tell their friends,"that steak was tough...like eating shoe leather"...Nobody is happy. If you order anythig past Med....it will be tough.
