What do you like to drink? How often do you drink? How often will you entertain?
Personally I have rye, bourbon, gin, rum, Scotch, vodka, 4 or 5 different bitters, Campari, Aperol, vermouths (in fridge), and then a bunch of random stuff collected over the years.

Titos is a staple
3 different Red wines
Add whatever you might like to drink from there. I keep a $30-$40 bottle of Bourbon and $30 bottle of dark rum. I don't really drink a lot of liquor at home and mostly for the times that we have dinner guests

I don’t drink bourbon much anymore but picked up a fifth of makers for $21 at Winn dixie yesterday, also came with two cocktail glasses. It will sit in my bar for a year next to my Old Forester 1920 and Blanton’s
I always have a handle of Tito’s and tanqueray that I replace when I polish off—there are so many tasty cocktails you can make with gin and vodka.

K & B Gin reminds me of another local store that had their own brand of Bourbon. The original Schweggman's was located at Piety and Burgundy when originally opened as Schweggman's Grocery and Bar in 1869 and their stores later carried a bourbon called "Old Piety & Burgundy" that many locals simply referred to as "Standing On The Corner" since the bottle featured a picture of a guy standing on the corner under a streetlight if I remember correctly.
