A friend advised me to go there for my bday, we took their limo van and it was as good as you'd expect I guess; I've seen a lot of negative comments but I guess working in the same industry I took a lot of things back to my restaurant from the experience but I felt like it was worth the fine dining price; my question is are people sour about it simply based on price or experience aspects?

I've dined there 4 or 5 times and have enjoyed it each time. I'd go more often if it was closer to 70808.

I've been once and have no complaints. No more expensive than other steak places. But like Kim said its no where near me so I won't be a regular.

What restaurant are you taking your experiences back to and just what are they? Just curious.

I'm from Central and my parents still live there. I haven't been but I hear the brunch is fantastic.

Are you saying they don't get much business?

Nah I'm saying when I hear something negative its about there prices but idk if that's just ppl not used to fine dining prices or if the foods not worth what I'd pay at Flemings, Ruth's Chris',etc

It's probably both, but it depends who you are talking to.

The restaurant is located in a up and coming area, however that area is in the center of Redneckville. So, yes, many people in that area aren't used to such prices.

And I can imagine people from the other side of Baton Rouge going to eat there and thinking it's not worth it, especially if they are used to restaurants like Fleming's, Ruth's Chris and etc., particularly if restaurants such as Flemings and Ruth's Chris are more convenient for them.

Frankly, I wouldn't call Stab's fine dining. They are a casual full-service restaurant, but on the high end of that segment.
