I like to mix it with olive oil, garlic, sea salt, pepper, some fresh grated parmesan or any other seasonings I see fit. Toss some veggies like squash and zucchini or potatoes in it then saute or roast them.

Nice way to dress up a side item.

It's good in beef and vegetable soup. I add Red Miso and Sriracha.

That wasn't the point of the reply. The point is that something takes off in the food world, and it gets shoved down your throat, pun intended, for years as the big thing. Same thing on the show Chopped. Sure, green apples are great to make a quick little salad and all but every one of them assholes act like its the newest thing on the block. I swear if I have to see another new episode on Food Network with a host mentioning the super special secret ingredient nutmeg I'm gonna lose it

At this point, it is an ingredient. Not a super special, this is my family secret and ill be nice and pass it along ingredient.

Oh yeah, I'm mad.

and yes the reason it's exploded in popularity is 1) the Vietnamese/pho boom, and 2) because its delicious

3) because it's made in the Los Angeles area, which is known for setting many trends as well as food trends
