It was a odd response to a question specifically asking if you had a vinegar component. 1c of oil to a 1/4 cup of lemon juice left me thinking you left out the vinegar component of the recipe, whether it be a vinegar or perhaps a Dijon mustard. To each his own, seems like a lot of oil

No, lemon juice is acidic, just like vinegar. Both are bitter and I've used lemon juice in place of vinegar in several instances with great results.

To me, it's a fresher taste than plain vinegar.

Sensation Dressing

For the Dressing
½ cup salad oil
½ cup olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon white vinegar
5-6 cloves garlic pressed or chopped fine
Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

!/3 balsamic vinegar
2/3 EVOO and truffel oil.
