Does anyone still eat this type of stuff on pork chops. I remember growing up my mom making it and I loved it. So, I tried it again the other night with zatarains version (with panko) and velveeta shells and cheese. Fricken good.

I hate the original, but my mother made it every Thursday night growing up, with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and green beans.

I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?

My Mom fried our pork chops and they were served with LeSeur petit pois and smothered shoepeg corn. Still a favorite meal for me every once in a while when I like to go back in time.

Sends me back too. Throw in a piece of cornbread & a glass of whole milk or iced tea and I'm done.

I use it every few months on chicken. Cut it thin and it works better. I use the creole butter marinade and after a few hours I'll take it out and put in the bag. Add some seasonings though and it comes out better.

Actually used it one night in college on some string cheese and made some decent cheesesticks.

I forgot all about Shake and Bake. We had it once a week on chicken and I loved it too. I'm definitely going to buy some on the next grocery run. Might try it on the grill as well, in addition to the oven.

Me Mum used to make this quite a bit when I was young. When I went off on my own I tried it once, and wondered why I'd ever bought the stuff. It wasn't gross, just expensive and unimpressive.
