Because they sort the small ones out. Had a sack last weekend with a lot of small ones.

I feel like you'd have a hard time finding small crawfish this time of season. Plus you don't want them too big where the shell gets too hard.
Just boiled three sacks from Tony's this past weekend and all were very good size. $2.19/lb
