Thought we could get some folks thoughts on the various seasonal (Fall) beers hitting the shelves. Had the Sam Adams, and I think they have a good one. Tim at Mathernes insisted I try the Wasatch Pumpkin Seasonal Ale. I was skeptical, not being big on Punkin, but having one now, and it's pretty damn good. Others?

Thought they were pretty good, my wife seems to love them.

I was quite sad to see the Sam Adams Honey Wheat leave the shelves. Are you talking about the Sam Adams oktoberfest beer?

I'll drink any pumpkin ale and weep tears of joy. One of my top-10 favorite things about fall.

Picked up one of these the other day. Haven't tried it yet. Glad to hear you liked it.

I found the Wasatch Pumpkin to be too sweet and pumpkin pie like for my taste. I prefer more of a pumpkin and nutmeg spice (like Post Road). I can drink a couple, but after that, I need something new.

Dog Fish Head Punkin Ale: I could smell s slight pumpkin but could not taste it. Which is a good thing in my book. I did get some Cinnamon and spice after taste. I only had a free "taster" since it was on draft. I didn't buy a full one.

Full Sail Sanctuary: Belgian style dubbel, malty w/ raisin and plums. Decent beer but not on par w/ real trappist dubbels such as Westmalle.

Stone 15th anniversary Black IPA: Still sitting in the fridge.
