Bon Creole in New Iberia might have the best po-boys and fried seafood in the region. Their gumbo is great as well.

Had Fezio's last time here. Might check out Charley G's since its close to where I am staying. Thanks

Had the gumbo at Don's Downtown about a month ago, terrible. It was salty as hell and the pieces of chicken were monstrously huge for gumbo.
I've never had their chicken gumbo. I eat the shrimp or the seafood gumbo and it's excellent as I've said 350,000 times here and as is pictured in my signature. I have some in the freezer that I'm having for dinner tonight. Order the seafood gumbo at a "seafood house".

I've never ordered that there. I been with others that have ordered that there, didn't look so good.
I find that the gumbo at Don's downtown is the only reason to go there as it's always better than the Hut. However their service is terrible and the menu lacks the other choices the Hut has ? I don't like the atmosphere at downtown either, it's nearly as bad as Piccadilly. Oh well, to each his own, and I have lived here for 42 years.
**edit** I missed the chicken and sausage part
