Doing a lot of research it seems the Meat your maker is one of the best. But it's OOS right now. The 5lber at $160 is middle of the road price and a tad bit cheaper then the comparable LEM.

But has anyone ben hand on with the Backyard pro butcher series sold by webstaurant? Not many reviews out there seems the gearing is aluminum rather than steel. But is 85 bucks. Just seeing if it's worth it for half the price.

I have the Meat Your Maker 15 lb version. I like it, not the best for trying small batches but is what it is. When you need to do a big batch it definitely comes in handy. You can usually get a discount code through their website making it more appealing to get the bigger one.

Really? How much off? I was thinking reloading the 5#er wouldnt be such a big deal.

Usually 10-20% off I think. I caught their grinders on sale around Christmas. Got the 1.5HP #32 grinder for 499.

I have a Buffalo tools stuffer that will do
11 pounds of sausage at a time. We use it a couple times a year and it’s been great. It’s SS and heavy. It will last my lifetime.

My LEM 5# works well

A bigger hopper would be nice sometimes but for the most part, the 5# is all you need

Correct, it's not a big deal. However, I would buy quality over price, You don't want it malfunctioning while using.

I have the lem 5lb. and no problems at all

I have this one and I like it. It's fairly easy to clean too.

I have the LEM #12 grinder and the smallest manual stainless stuffer they sell and can say that both after 1 yr and 4-5 sausage making with deer and hog are worth what I paid. Easy to set up and clean and use and disassemble. Quality manufacturing.

Now my thoughts are, do i want to get the MEAT your maker 5#, LEM 5#, The sausage maker 5# all around 160ish...... OR the 10# The sausage maker for 225.

None of these have 2 gears... the only 2 gear ones i see are the other boxed design instead of the tubed supports... is the dual gear really that much more convenient?

I ended up buying the 15#er from Meat your maker. I figures the smallest batch i would make would be 5#s so i would most likely have to reload once each time, so for me that was enough to make me want something bigger. If they had a 10#er i would have gotten that one.
