I'm glad I don't know you or anyone you know. You ruin both products. When you're not boiling crawfish, do you still boil your sausage? Such a dumb thing to do.

I use simple Hilshire sausage for a boil. I find it picks up the most flavor from the boil. If I'm grilling or cooking, I'll use a better sausage but not with crawfish/crabs/shrimp

Deer Sausage usually. If not that then Verons green onion.

I think it dries out too much. I usually just go for the fattiest smoked sausage I can find

I'm with AlxTgr on this one. It's a crawfish boil. Stick to that. I went to one recently with this list of things in the "crawfish boil"
Potatoes
Corn
Garlic
Onions
Artichokes
A can of green beans. No, not opened, just with holes punched in the can
Brussel sprouts
Sausage
Another kind of sausage
Hot dogs
Button Mushrooms
Portobello Mushrooms
Celery
Oh, and crawfish.
It's gotten fricking ridiculous.

I have done this. Had some left over seasoning and really wanted some boiled potatoes and sausage.
