There for the next two nights. Looking for steakhouses and sushi.

For sushi try Okayama in Japan Town. Either on 6th or 7th, can't remember. To be honest, you can get some of the best Vietnamese and Mexican food on any block between downtown and SJSU in San Jose. If you want to step out of that steakhouse/sushi comfort zone, try Back A Yard on N. Market. Great Caribbean food.

This works much better when spoken, but I love it so here goes:
Redneck was headed to San Jose for a vacation. Seatmate on the flight asked where he was bound.
"San Joe-zay," the redneck said.
Seatmate explained, "In California we pronounce the J as an H, so we say San Hoe-zay."
"How long will you be staying?"
Redneck, "The last week of Hune and the first week of Huly."
