Craving a salad...where do you go for a really good salad at lunch in the UPT? (Don't say Fresh Bar; I find the quality mediocre.) Stuck in a rut of nicoise salad from Tartine, need to get out of it.

Occasionally I will get the Cecil Salad at High Hat. Add grilled shrimp or with a side of fried chicken.

City Greens is a place by my office in Elmwood that's legit but a little costly. I know they have a location on Poydras as well.

Went to Wayfare last week. Really disappointing. I liked it previously. Three sandwiches, an order of meat pies (very small), and three drinks (2 local beers and a glass of wine) and with tax and tip was close to $90.

Found quality of food to be way off. Perhaps it was an off day. But I'll steer clear for a bit.

What? Damn!

I haven't been in 5+ months, but was always impressed. This is sad to hear.

Actually it was two sandwiches and a salad. Salad was a bunch of romaine and four small segments of beet. Think it sold for around 13.

Ended up with a half salad and a slice from, well, Slice. Meh. It did not cure my salad craving. I'll have to do better tomorrow.
