It's new and from what I've heard, the food isn't good...but it's what you'd expect from a tourist trap on Bourbon. P.S. Seems bad to sacrifice eating good food in hopes of seeing a star that's never there. But to each his own.

Absolutely. It amazes me that they actually draw customers that think they will see a celebrity.

Sad part is they're still paying FQ prices, but getting frozen sysco food.

It's their vacation, it's in walking distance from their hotel, and who cares what they like. Pub style food with a club atmosphere was what they were looking for, i guess.

i doubt they will care about the food. i was just asking for suggestions until they told me they wanted to go there.

So Channing Tatum is not handsome?

there you go again waving your giant pretentious judgement wang again..
how about you go cook some gumbo again.

Who cares what they like? I thought the whole point of this message board was for adults to discuss things, argue about likes and dislikes, compare recipes & dining experience, offer suggestions, critique people and places. I guess someone's opinion is only accepted if it's what you want to hear.

Again, average boring American female twenty-something.

Come on. The guy looks like a fricking goober. And he's on the threshold of having a cross eye. I don't get the obsession.

God forbid a guy from north La. who never cooked gumbo in his life and didn't grow up around south Louisana cooking can't perfect making gumbo on his first try!

I accept your opinion and I respect it, but the point of the thread were for suggestions. You gave none yet you wanted to pass judgment on a place you have never been to. And also hope food death on the choice, that's not very nice.
It's also to critique places, not people; which you are very good at. Unless it's a chef or celebrity (dude from DDD), you shouldn't throw out your judgment.

sorry that not everybody has exceptional taste in food as everybody on the food board.

you sound jelly of a celebrity.

God forbid anybody use frozen chicken and italian dressing as well.
For such a "foodie" from Louisiana to never have cooked a gumbo is one thing, but you also used cheap cooking ware, as i've read from the other "foodies".

Well to the OP, I've never been to Saints and Sinners, but good luck. I don't hope it sucks, but I don't have much hope either.

My suggestion would be Remoulade without question. Cheap/good/easy/convenient.

thanks. i'm sure i can find something edible there. I don't have to bitch about everything that I eat, just there to enjoy company and celebrate someone's birthday.

You don't need exceptional taste to know that the food at Saints and Sinners is most likely garbage. And I'm not the only one in this thread criticizing it, yet you single me out. Easy target I guess because of the faux persona people here have built for me.

Yes indeed. fricking gross.

Link me where I called myself a "foodie." And also, way to judge people for not being able to afford thousands of dollars in pots and pans and knives. I promise I can cook decent food with them though. The drop off from high-end cookware isn't all that great .. much more important things that go into preparing a meal.
