RAW for sushi. It is very good

I tried Utility Brewing this weekend while in town for LA Tech basketball. The beer was decent, and the Lincoln pizza was really good. The Margherita was just okay, a little disappointing. If the weather is good, they have a patio out back. Super nice staff.
Got a latte' at Railway Coffee down the street, and it was very good. Full of students, and the workers were friendly as hell.
Ponchatoulas and RAW are both within walking distance. Have not tried either, but they get a lot of good reviews. Looks like RAW is not open until 4 pm, so no lunch.

Sundown for drinks and pretty good food
RAW for sushi
El Toro for Mexican
Brister’s has damn good bbq
Log Cabin has good steak (local from Tech farms) but everything else is kinda meh
Dawg House is pretty tasty if you don’t mind all the dude bro frat guys.
Avoid Ponchatoulas and Portico
ETA: I moved away before Utility and Rotolos C&C opened but I heard good things and enjoy the one in BR, respectively.

i agree with most of your list but hot rod is way better than bristers
we tried to go to raw last night but it was a 40 minute wait so we went to beau vines. their steak is better than ruths imo
avocado's is good
everything i've eaten from log cabin has been just edible. i don't get the love
utility pizza is good. and we eat rotools a good bit
flying burger has great burgers
