I figured that.
What does his review of Revolution have to do with his review of Ruffino's?

That's not all he wrote, obviously.
It was an example.
Not sure why you're having to come to the posters aid in the first place.

You're a lost cause on this issue and I'm not coming to anyone's "aid". I thought the review was informative. You did not.
You thought it indicated the OP was a complainer simply because he didn't like an over dressed fish and saturated salad etc... He simply reported that the meal wasn't up to par and inquired as to whether he didn't order the better dishes there.
He went there because he'd heard the restaurant was good, so he was expecting it to be good. He wasn't looking to spend a bunch of money on bad food, so he could write a negative review. Didn't turn out to be quite as good as he'd heard. And, since you've never been there, you have no idea. I've eaten there. I think it's okay. Nothing I've had was standout, but I haven't eaten there a gazillion times. Not bad, just not great. I prefer Gino's or Mansur's to Ruffino's. My parents, on the other hand, enjoy it very much. Different strokes.

Hence why my comments didn't center on his experience being right or wrong because I've never been the restaurant so I wasn't going to discuss the actual merits of anything he said, but was simply choosing to make an observation of the type of diner he may be based on the type of review he gave us concerning a meal. You somehow took offense of that because you seem easily offended if I didn't choose to gush over this dudes experience at a restaurant.

So, you have never eaten at Ruffino's yet you choose to post a critique of my review of a restaurant in which you have never dined?
You have never met me (counting my blessings), and you can tell exactly the type of diner I am.
You get totally owned by a female poster on this board, and you come back for more?
Wow, just wow! I think you need to take your weak arse game to the help board, I heard that the screen name jackass is available for you to claim.

What exactly are you missing about my comments not being directed towards Ruffino's. I have no doubt that everything you said was true. I have no doubt it was a poor experience. And as I've continue to state, I have never been so my comments are not directed at the actual experience, but are focused on my observation of you based on the review you offered. Nothing more. Somehow, you and some other poster have been greatly affected by this and have continued to balk at the notion that you appear to be the type of diner that focuses on things during your dining experience that lends itself to always finding problems with said experience.
And you're little joke at the end of your rant was comical because it was so lame.

And I could give a shite if you're a girl or a guy fwiw. But the fact you're a girl explains a lot, so I partially retract some of my comments concerning your use of adjectives. My mom and sister are pretty animated so I get it.

You really have a problem with reading comprehension, I was not referring to me when I said that you were owned by a female. I was speaking about how epically owned you were by gris gris.
Look, it's obvious that you have no clue about fine dining and need to look elsewhere to channel your douche baggery. Perhaps you could petition Chicken to create a board where you are the lone poster and you could just troll your own posts, that is if you can fit more posting in your busy schedule of pleasuring yourself.

I guess I'll validate my fine dining experience from my trip two weeks ago to New York. Craft, Babbo, Mas (farmhouse), Momofuko noodle bar, The Red Farm, Lombardi's, Sarabeth's, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some spots.
And Gris Gris posts more like a dude than you do.

Am I not ordering the right things or am I being too critical of an Italian restaurant that can't even get veal picatta right? If I give it another try, what do others recommend I order?
Seems like most people like the steaks there. I wasn't impressed when I went. Atmosphere is meh, food was meh, and it's not as upscale as people make it out to be. I expected more for the price, so I probably won't go back until I'm rich and can justify spending $40 on a steak for myself.
Oh, and the cotton candy at the end is cool/unique...BUT...grape flavor?

Why don't you write up a review on each. So you travelled once, great. All these wonderful dining experiences and too lazy to contribute, what a waste. If you would spend more of your energy contributing and not delving in douchebaggery, you wouldn't be forced to spend so much time with your sister and mom. Has your period synchronized with your mom and sis yet? I bet it has!
That might give you a clue that you're spending too much time with them.

My first thought was to get a steak, but I guess I made the wrong decision getting the veal. Thanks for the input.

I've been working a lot since I got back from the trip and haven't really felt like writing ten reviews. And to be honest, I really didn't think anyone would give a shite.
I'll rank them this way:
1. Red Farm
2. Craft
3. Mas (farmhouse)
4. Momofuko Noodle Bar
5. Sarabeth's Central Park (breakfast spot)
6. Babbo
7. Lombardi's
All were great meals, and it was tough for me to decide whether to rank Mas above Craft because those were really close calls. We went to Red Farm for lunch and it was unbelievable.
I've also taken other trips to other places an eaten while on those trips. Would you like me to tell you where so I can further validate my opinion to you?
ETA: I had heard such wonderful things about Babbo but it was one of the lesser dining experiences compared to the others. And I ranked Lombardi's last only because it was a pizza place, and while it was very good pizza, I can get good pizza anywhere.

Well, the people on the Rant wouldn't, but this is a food board where food, restaurants, drinks etc... are discussed.
Napoleon, for example, did a bang up job of reviews from a trip to DC, I believe, and it was pretty long thread. He writes other good reviews quite often. People come here to read about that along with cooking and getting advice on food, drink and restaurants.
I've seen a number of threads asking about NY restaurants. Now, you can contribute to those. There are people who will be interested and there will be people who disagree and there will be people who have both negative and positive experiences at the same places. There are things that bother some folks that don't bother others. We've had plenty of threads on those subjects, but there's nothing in Ruzil's post that indicates he went to Ruffino's to spend a bunch of money and intentionally look for things that were wrong with it. Most folks don't operate that way except for the guy on Restaurant Impossible or the one on Restaurant Stakeout and a few other "reality" food shows. Well, and maybe health inspectors.

I'm really not trying to be condescending but I'm well aware of how this board works and where I can contribute. As far as my trip goes, I just didn't feel like writing that much. I realize that I sounded like a dick analyzing the OP's first post, but I was only making an observation.

Okay, TA. I sort of thought that was unusual coming from you.

I woke up on my couch this morning with Zippy's in front of me. I don't even like Zippy's and don't even remember going there. And then I watched that Saints performance. haha bad day.

Well, that explains a lot!
The Saints performance had me ready for a good argument, I believe. Then, a friend from NC wrote me that she ordered a muff and used "who dat" as her name on the order in honor of the win. That didn't go over well with me either.

Damn. But that's kind of funny though.

Yeah, I told her I gave her credit for being clever and admitted that I was laughing through the tears.
