Never heard of it. But I'm not a jar roux kinda guy. I enjoy making one. Good luck to you though.

Is it made out of oil and flour? Is it dark enough? How bad can it be?

I wonder what unhealthy mass produced oil it contains.

Never used it. Looks like it’s made in a Lafayette from flour and soybean oil.

Savoie’s jar roux says it’s made with vegetable oil, which may be cottonseed, corn, or rice oil. I have used it several times, and it’s fine.
