The restaurant at Black Bear golf course is damn good. Champions Bistro is the name of it. Short drive for you at Poverty Point reservoir .
There is actually a coonass with a food truck/trailer deal in beautiful, sunny downtown Epps LA that has some good lunch stuff. Crazy Cajun or some shite.
Delhi is pretty bleak but has some fast food options.
Vicksburg and Monroe are within 50 miles and have lots of options.

Can’t help you with the restaurant rec, but definitely bring bug spray and wear lightweight long pants and sleeves. PP is mosquito and caterpillar heaven.
