I'm looking for suggestions. Which restaurant would you go to if you had to eat at only one?

Steaks, burgers, seafood, anything.

I'll have a party of around 10-12 and price is not an issue (OT rich).

I've heard Chuys is good. Is it a normal Mexican place or more upscale.

Louies is on Henderson. It used to sit by itself in a sketchy neighborhood and is a dive bar with really good food, especially pizza. The neighborhood has been scraped and gentrified in the last 3 years or so. Now there are a lot of new bars near Louies.

I've been pushing Uncle Julio's pretty hard. Are these places better (I've been to Chuy's and always get the Elvis Fried Chicken)?

We could argue all day about the best mexican. I would give Mia's a shot and see what you think.

overrated.. featured in Diners Drive Ins and Dives..
be prepared for uncaring and poor service - food is Ok, but not as great as suggested. Pizza is about the only item that COULD rate higher.

Herrera's is one of those that locals have rated tops for many many years.
A new Mex Rest. on Lemmon is Lolita's. The owner used to own the RANCHEROS mexican food stores where the used to serve authentic Mex food.

Cuban food = Caribbean Cafe Web's Chapel at Belt Line Road.

Cajun = Nate's on Midway Rd

Steaks= at the High end you have many, just ask.

It's true the waitresses don't come up and say "Hi, my name is Ashley". It's a dive for chrissakes. The Pizza is the best in Dallas.

Don't expect a 4 star treat, but I do not expect rudeness either. They have been rude and totally uncaring.

I may be too late but my only two suggestions are papa bros and the iron cactus.

I've been eating there for years and never had a problem with it. I have seen people that were whiners get the cold shoulder. And I saw Louie curse out a table and kick them out one night for complaining too much. That was awesome! Like I said, It's not a typical Dallas place, which is part of it's charm.

There are so many factors.. price, area, food type.. etc.

Another I like at reasonable prices is Carrabba's, I know yo have one in BR..but, they are in the Dallas Tollway North, away from downtown.

In the Dallas Alley area, I like Haufbrau's Steak House. and very reasonable compared to other steak houses.
