Never been and would appreciate opinions on it. Heard Mike Anderson's is better, but interested to hear if anyone has been to new one. TIA

Since you're new, or an alter, all you need to know is that any restaurant with more than three locations is a chain, and chains are roundly despised on here. RL is a chain restaurant serving seafood off the interstate in front of a mall, in a state with some of the best seafood in the country. I'm sure most on here believe that RL is what the Nazis fed the Jews in Auschwitz. I hear their biscuits are good.

Also, I prefer Parrain's or Louisiana Lagniappe over Mike A's.

Agreed. I think the only local joint I'd go to after Red Lobster is Boutin's... but that might just be my sullied opinion.

What you have to realize about Red Lobster in Baton Rouge is this. In the late 70's they built one at Airline and Florida. Five or so years later they closed it and it sat empty for about a half dozen years. Then they mowed the building down and built a new Red Lobster. It stayed open for about the same amount of time, closed and a few years later they mowed that one down.
This is the third strike.

For some reason I think one at Airline and Florida would do better.

Care to elaborate?
It's not like I'd go either way...

there was a robbery and execution style murder in that place way back then (late 70's).

DUCK, there is much incoming artillery coming your way.

Can't compare it to Mike Andersons, but it is better than Ruth's Chris

Def LA Lagniappe or Parrains. Red Lobster shouldn't even be allowed in LA. And I have no respect for Mike's after I heard from a former employee all thier "fresh catch" comes from south america/asia and the shrimp is all asian. Viva Lagniappe. Bill O is going to tear you a new one
