Anyone know how to make biscuits as good as those or what the secret recipe is? If you've had one, you know what I'm talking about.

When I was in HS from 01-04 at Elizabeth HS, the cafeteria food was great. Not kidding.

Make these. I cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients with pulses in a food processor. More to clean up, but it does a fantastic job. Mix dry mix with buttermilk gently in a bowl. Dump onto flour covered board/counter and fold a few times. Cut biscuits into squares or rounds, depending on your preference. Place close together on baking sheet and bake at 450 F.

Butter the tops when they come out of the oven.

Best you'll ever have. Be gentle working the dough -that s the key.

Highjack

Speaking of school lunch, Did anyone else have square pizza made with ground beef? It was almost like a lasagna, but on pizza dough. That was the greatest lunch ever.
