"Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.’s stock fell nearly 7 percent Tuesday morning, after the company temporarily closed a restaurant in Virginia after customers reported getting sick after eating there."

"The issue again raised the specter of food safety concerns at Chipotle, where a series of foodborne illness outbreaks in 2015 led to a steep sales decline in 2016, which the chain is working feverishly to recover from."

“Norovirus does not come from our food supply, and it is safe to eat at Chipotle,” he said. LINK

Norovirus: The virus is transmitted by fecally (shite) contaminated food or water, by person-to-person contact.

In his defense, if your selling point is healthier fresher product than the other guys, you probably shouldn't poison your customers.

Their model is a tough one to pull off. If you stress local smaller farm produce, you are going to get nailed from time to time.

Haven't followed the Chipotle debacle closely. What makes them holier than thou?

It's an odd diatribe of an OP to say the least.
