I much prefer the cube...

See, non-foodies, or people not from around here, think Cracklins are pork rinds. I think a lot of cracklin selling places are catering to the "Cracklins are pork rinds" people, and not the "I'm from Eunice, and Cracklins are cubed, deep fried bacon."

It makes sense, there's a lot more "Cracklins are Pork Rinds" people than the other. Pork rinds are a hellova lot cheaper than frying up a pork belly, AND you can charge the same price.

I tried the cracklins today at Quebideaux's ... I'm from Lafayette and have run these roads of Louisiana and tried all the places mentioned now I've tasted the best cracklin I've ever had....Quebideaux's is da bomb!

Thanks, I've got to go thru Laffy Saturday and now I'm going to have to stop at Billeaud's for cracklins. Will be the best $20 I spend this weekend.

I saw a picture of Hebert’s chicken cracklins and they looked battered, like regular fried chicken. Are they? The ones I’ve had elsewhere were not.

Dude. Battered. If I’d gone into the store I would’ve seen ahead of time, but I used the drive through.

Also, I keep telling myself to throw them away, but I can’t stop eating them. Just one more and then the trash.
