Ralph's on the Park 3 Apps and a glass of wine for $33

So had dinner at Ralph's last night for their summer special. While the idea of 3 apps and a glass of wine for $33 sounds pretty good, think again. Our service was fantastic, drinks came quickly and the server was very attentive. Where the night was lacking was the food. I started with turtle soup which was decent. From there I had the oysters which had no flavor at all. The batter tasted like they forgot to season it. Finally I had the goat which again was just ok. My wife( no pics ) had a Brussels sprout dish that was under seasoned as well. Wines were ok, but all in all, not impressed. At least all of the cocktails we had were really good. Anyone else have the same experience?

It's got nice views of the park, and its always a good time to go for Happy Hour when Joe Krown is at the piano. Otherwise, its not worth it. The food is average, at best. Too many other good options at that price point.

It was my wife's favorite restaurant in the city. I've never had a bad meal there, and they always treated us like royalty.

I tend to think of Ralph's and Cafe B and slightly above average in both menu and execution.

Not last night. Trust me. The last meal I had at Cafe B blew the Ralph's dinner away. Maybe it was a bad night.

Yep. A friend of mine went the other day and said that the 3 apps are a complete rip off.
