I live on the coast and usually buy from Jerry Forte just across the bay. Just out of this picture to the left is a giant vacuum that they dip into the hull of the shrimp boat and suck them out onto the conveyor belt.
I buy IQF shrimp as well.
The 50 minutes part is the thing that got my attention. I'd probably broil them in your setup, but lightly steamed or gently boiled and then chilled is my go-to. I'll eat shrimp any damn way.

50 minutes.... what????
i just made some shrimp the way i described above and got distracted while trying to watch game and cooked them for 15 minutes which were way overcooked. They were still good though but i couldnt imagine 50 minutes

I promise, it takes 50 minutes if not a little more. The pan is covered in foil and when I stir them half way through the majority of the shrimp are still completely raw. When my stepmom told me 50 minutes I was shocked as well. I thought for sure she said 15 and I was just hearing her wrong. Give it a try, put that many shrimp of that size (these are big) in a foil pan and cover with foil at 350. Take them out after 15 minutes and I dare you to eat them. Send video for proof.
Think about when you heat a casserole up in the oven at 350. You cover it in foil. It seems like it shouldn't take any time but it can take nearly an hour for it to just heat up, and that isn't having to cook anything through.
