Question regarding soup preparation and timing

I'm making a turtle soup as an appetizer/first course to our meal this evening. I'd like to make it ahead of time and let it sit on the stove on very low to stay warm until we are ready to serve.
Will I have any issues with this such as the soup reducing too much? It may sit on the stove for approx. 3 hours.

Turn it completely off and put a lid on it. Then reheat twenty minutes prior on low.

If by chance it's reduced too much just add a bit of water or stock to loosen up.
