Have any of you eaten at this place? It's in the new strip mall next door to where South of Philly used to be.

I saw their sign this morning saying they have fish and shrimp tacos all through Lent and shrimp tacos sound really good.

Do any of you have opinions on this place or will I just have to go in cold?

ETA: If you're still unsure of where it is, I believe it's in the spot where that Alabama shrimp chain crashed and burned.

It's decent for what it is. Not overly impressive but not complete dogshit.

Ehh, so middle of the road Tex-Mex? That's not encouraging.

Let's pivot the question. Where would I go if I wanted some really good shrimp tacos?

I thought Blue Corn had some solid tacos. It's not particularly close to Sherwood and Coursey though.

In that area Taco Chops or Los Reyes (TC may have been renamed recently I seem to remember) are probably your best bet. I've never had Queso so no opinion on them.

I've had El Paso and it's okay, but I haven't had Los Reyes. I'll probably try that place out. Thanks, guys.

Los Reyes

i honestly just get a quesadilla when we eat mexican or shirmp or brisket tacos every since I can remember. Never was into the other popular mexican dishes.

They have dish called el mejor and man its delicious.

I agree with this but their Nachos Locos are an exception. My wife and I usually get them and the two of us can't finish them. They are about $14-15.

Depends on what you get or what you are looking for I guess.

Los Reyes was overpriced for what we ordered when I went.

Been twice
First time wasn't bad for me, but my wife hated it. She ordered shrimp quesadillas with just shrimp and cheese, and it came with all kinds of veggies. So she ate my plate
Second time we went because we were near and it was empty. I gave them a second chance. Ordered a kids meal hamburger for my 2 year old, burger was raw in the middle.
Will not be returning
