I get it but you need carbs for weight lifting
Need? No. You do not need. They provide an advantage to gaining, and only that.

Now when trying to gain it helps as it's a pain to try and gain without them.
The advantage I speak of.

Up right fan bike. I have the xebex and am just peddling slow. It's great for hiit though, prolly the best machine for it. Ok on long and slow

That sounds miserable.
It is miserable. But the end result is worth it. 6 months worth of fat loss in 6 weeks. Surprisingly the worst part is force feeding your self lean protein while on the diet. Protein powder is gonna have to be my friend this go around for sure.
Lazy, I'm the opposite, work days I am fine. The regimented structure of the same schedule helps me stay on track. When I am home I get screwed up.

You are addicted to sugar. Your body will continue to crave it until you break it only that addiction. Go on my google drive linked in the first post and search for "it starts with food" it's by the creators of the whole30 diet. The book explains everything much better then I can. You to two choices to break it, follow the whole30 or go even stricter and do no carbs, no sugar substitute, nothing sweet at all. After 30 days or so you will notice the cravings are gone. I would recommend whole30 without the fruit. You will notice effortless weight loss, overall better health, mood and sleep.
Even for those that believe in eating carbs I suggest this route and then introducing one starchy carb back in a week and see how you react. If no problems then you are prolly ok with that carb, if you have gi problems like gas, the runs etc, stay away or if it makes you feel bad, stay away. Fruit can usually be reintroduced immediately, all others see how you react first. The goal is to find which carbs cause you inflammation and gi problems which effects everything else like mood and sleep.
Junky can prolly explain it better then me, I'm definitely not a wordsmith.

777 what's the diet y'all doing called?
Posted on 1/2/17 at 9:06 pm to Junky
Well there is usually a small drop in strength performance but that is only temporary if in a calorie surplus or at normal maintenance levels. A deficit will cause it usually no matter what your macros are but usually that is just temporary too. People are too impatient and I won't give their body time to adjust. Now layne norton did post a study yesterday on the adverse effects of low carbs on endurance athletes, but most people with common sense already knew that.

Rapid fatloss diet handbook by Lyle McDonald. We are doing the extreme version which calls for the extended walks. Don't recommend the extreme version for more than seven days. It's on my drive if you want to read it.

Pretty sure he was talking about goldennugget, not you

100% agree that I'm addicted to sugar. Even as a kid, we always had some sort of dessert after dinner.
Recently, I've had good results with IF + keto but the sugar cravings are something I haven't been able to shake.

Low carb with endurance athletes is fine but you have to be high fat. Bunch of elite ultramarathoners are high fat.

Oh really good sir? Why not instead of calling me names you go ahead and prove me wrong?
Oh, that's right, you can't. That is because what I am saying is based on biology and basic human needs. You haven't a clue what you are talking about and just throw out names when you don't understand.
Bruh
I was referring to golden nugget. Your info is obviously valuable

Just speaking of the study and general endurance. I had read quite a few of the ultra marathoners had switched to ultra high fat and were experiencing improved results after their body made the adjustment.

Admittedly, i cannot read anything but the abstract of the study. But delving into the sugar article.
