It’s thanksgiving again! Smoking two turkeys and baking a prime rib. I usually get the prime rib from Sam’s, but wanted to see where y’all get them from. Baton Rouge / Denham Springs.

Costco is a good recommendation. Maxwell's Market is a good source too. It will be better trimmed and they remove the bones and tie them back on for you.

Sams and Costco both do beef well. Fresh Market usually puts prime rib roasts on sale at Christmas, haven’t seen them yet

Sams had a few this morning. Went by Costco to see what they had and nothing on the bone. Will go back by Sams tomorrow to get two.

Picked up a whole prime ribeye from Albertsons for $12/lb a few weeks ago.
Trick is to start looking for the sales in October and be ready to buy when you find the right one.

Post back after you cook that one from Albertsons. I haven’t bought beef from them in years bc the steaks would look beautiful but come out like shoe leather.

Bought two Prime prime ribs today at Sams. They had a sale on the Prime meat, $5 off each roast.
