Going to SO's cousin's wedding in October and it's same weekend as Ohio St/Penn St so traffic will be craziness

Any recs for some good restaurants and bars to hit up while there?

Possibly a brewery to try since we won't be going to the game during the day?

Just went not to long ago for a wedding. Fun city... Pretty much stayed on the short north the whole time.

I'd recommend staying in walking distance of it but pretty much all of downtown were short Ubers away

Had a great meal at marcella's on high street. That melted pecorino app is amazing.

Short North is great for bars (Press Grill, Short North Tavern, if you're up for an adventure Mike's Grill is cash only and stripers and homeless people frequent it but it's right on the main thoroughfare.)

As far as downtown breweries go, there's Elevator, Wolf's Ridge, and Columbus Brewing Company. Wolf's Ridge has very good food and decent beer. CBC is somewhat famous and very popular and they have decent food. I've never eaten at Elevator, but they have a tap room right downtown down the street from Renaissance. It's basically a garage door, some old tables and taps.

I'd explore German Village as well. It's got great atmosphere.

Left outta there in 2006, but I presume Hound Dog's/Ravari Room is still a fine place to eat pizza and get s-faced.

Sketchy, greasy environs. Love Columbus. U may finger or get fingered in a place like that. One can never tell for sure.

German Village is nice. Schmidt's Sausage Haus and Katzinger's Deli.

Go Bucks.

And remember: Ann Arbor is a whore.

If you don't want food, go the Elevator tap room. Fun atmosphere right downtown as well.
