Your Underlined words are fig-tastic.
Way to make your point. I can feel it.

The food at the Oasis is miserabel, and since the rebuilt the place, it doesnt have the same feel.

As far as Matts El Ranco, that place is turrible. Hit up Vivo or El Chile for Mexican food.

Stu,

What does 1431 and Cedar Park have to do with anything? I've never even been to Cedar Park. I'm starting to think you are a fig. You know a little too much about Austin restaurants. I can just picture you enjoying a nice glass of vino with your boyfriend at some of these fine establishments.

FWIW, I would love to see this dude show up to Texadelphia for a romantic dinner with his wife. Oh, and tell your Operations Manager friend to stop shrinking the fricking cheesesteaks. They are half the size they were five years ago.

Romeo's (Italian) on Barton Springs Road might fit the bill. Also, if you're going to the One World Theater, you might go to County Line on the Hill (BBQ); its just down the road. I wouldn't exactly call it romantic but the food is decent and the ambience is good; nice view out on the patio.

Have fun.

I was in Austin this past weekend hanging out with some friends. Here's where we went:

Five Guys - great greasy hamburger

Salt Lick - I'm sure someone has mentioned this one. A little bit out of of the way and it's BYOB, but it's completely worth it. Great BBQ. Make sure to get the family deal no matter how many people you bring.

JuanInAMillion - Some Mexican place, on Ceasar Chavez....incredible breakfast/hungover food. I had to waddle out of that place and only payed $4.45.

FWIW, even though you and your wife are going, YellowRose Strip Club is awesome.

Wow, your use of the quotation button, words like "frickstick", and mom jokes is amazingly ghey. You never got a chance to flip much shite in school did you?

I'm going to take a guess and say that you are about 5'7" or shorter and have a wicked Napolean complex.

Not as awesome as the old Show Palace that was fully nude and allowed you to bring your own keg in.

I'm hearting you in this thread, Stu.

But shouldn't you, master of the Austin dodge, be sending them to horrible places so that they will never want to return?
