What are you looking for?

Strawns, Southfield grill, or cotton boll have awesome plate lunches.

Herby Ks for great burgers, po boys, and their famous shrimp buster.

What part of town? If downtown, the Blind Tiger has good food and a good atmosphere.

Pizza rev sounds like pizza subway with a good beer menu. It's a chain I think.

Pretty much. Good pizza and price though.

The above lists are solid. If you go for any of the plate lunches just plan on a nap afterwards.

Yep. Blind Tiger.

And I am really partial to Fertitta's. We've been going there for decades and still one of my favorites.

God I love this place. First Indian restaurant I'd ever been to and so many others have disappointed since then.

Can’t beat the price on Indigo lunch buffet. It’s only about $11 for all you can eat of several veg and meat dishes,

The owner/manager guy is a real nice fellow. Don’t fall for it when he tells you the bill is elevnty million two hundred thousand.

Although the atmosphere/decor is not up to par with Indigo, I think the food is better and their buffet has more variety at India’s restaurant. They also have masala dosa and rava dosa which I don’t think you can get at Indigo.

Parish Taceaux

I ended up going here and it was the right choice. I had the smoked brisket taco (chili brazed brisket, okra and corn chow chow). BBQ korean beef taco (skirt steak, kimchi pickle, spicy parish aioli). Pork Belly Pastor (adobo rubbed pork belly, pineapple salsa, chicharrones)

It was fantastic and great atmosphere in that little place.
